Guns and Hoses Golf Tournament Raises Money for Northern ...

From the Washoe County Sheriff's Office:

More than $24,000 was raised to support the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation by local law enforcement, firefighters and citizens who participated in the 5th Annual Guns and Hoses Golf Tournament at the Lakeridge Golf Course on Monday. This brings the total for the five years since the tournament was founded to just under $90,000 for the Foundation.

“We could not do what we do without community partnership events like Gun and Hoses, and the relationships we built with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District,” Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation’s Director of Community Outreach Lisa Shaffer said. “Aside from the obvious fundraising benefits, the awareness and advocacy from a partnership like this is immeasurable.”

Guns and Hoses 2017 could not have been successful without the generous support of Duncan Golf Management who donated $5,000 in play.
