More of the bridge. A little history, it was built in the 1940s during the construction of the Alaska Highway using douglas fir shipped from the west coast of British Columbia.
The body of water here is the Burrard Inlet. On the north is West Vancouver - the photo was taken from Kitsilano. The Alaskan cruise ships pass through this inlet on their way north through the Inside Passage to Alaska.
